Senior - Trent || Prosper & Legacy West
It's Senior Showcase time! Today, we are showcasing Trent's Senior Portraits. A couple of years ago when I was just starting to focus more on senior's, I photographed his sister Zoe. I was nervous the whole time because I wanted to make sure I did a good job. The shoot went well and I was so thankful for the opportunity. Come 2018, and their mother reached out to me again. I wanted to cry, happy tears of course. You see, when a client returns to you for more work, you either must have done something right, or they really like you and your work. I was lucky enough for both and am so thankful to this family for allowing me to photograph some fantastic milestones for them.
Trent is a swimmer and absolutely loves it. You could tell how passionate he was about his sport and was a champ when I asked him to do several laps to get the shots I was looking for. It was a lot of swimming and yet, he made it seem like it was nothing. This was my first time to shoot someone actually doing their sport. It was a real treat for me and my favorite swim shot is the first on you'll see below.
Next we headed to Legacy West, still one of my favorites places, especially in the morning. I'm a little fearful writing this as I'm "telling one of my secret locatins," but it's no secret anymore. There were photographers appearing lately and it makes me happy. I've started shooting there before most stores were open. It's the perfect location in the early morning and doesn't even have to be exactly at sunrise because of the buildings. I love the light and how it bounces all around the new concrete. Plus, there's a Starbuck's there that's amazing, and that's usually a nice treat for mom grab a coffee during our shoot.
