Goodbye, Farewell 2016! I'm ready for 2017!!
2016 was a great year for Janet R Cave Photography. I am so thankful and truly appreciate every client who allowed me to take their photos. I tell each and every one of them it was an honor, because at the end of the day to allow someone to take your portraits for a life milestone, have trust in me to help your business with product photography, or allow me to come into your home for a lifestyle shoot, it's an honor to have been selected and trusted. As a creator, I find myself constantly doubting my abilities, but come to realize it's a gift and a craft I am truly passionate about. Each time I get another request for a shoot, I'm doing a little happy dance behind this screen, especially when I hear they have been admiring my work for years. How fantastic is that?! My word for 2017 is, Happy! I have decided to take this word and constantly remind myself that THIS is the word that He has given me to focus on and follow the path he has for me.
To some, photos are just another item taking up space on their mobile device, never to be looked at again. To me, photographs have so many meanings. They tell a story, they bring back memories and feelings of that time, they give future family members a chance to see YOU when they weren't around or how life was then compared to now. I cannot wait to see how JRCP will grow in 2017, and have been a busy bee in the background to work to have this space grow. I hope you will continue to support me and follow along on my next journey of walking through happiness and growth
I had 31 shoots this year. I think I might have had a few more if we had not gone to Europe, but it was so worth it. I intend to do a blog series for the places we visited while in Europe. I hope they give you inspiration to travel and remember to see the world and get different perspectives, especially on how life SHOULD, versus CAN be. If I'm lucky enough, hopefully I'll make it back over there in 2017, or early 2018. I miss Europe so much and sometimes dream about living there. However, with our new home purchase and the dogs settling into our place, I'm also loving how life is here and wouldn't want to change a thing. We shall see, because like my mom tells me, "you just never know!"
Happy New Year and cheers for another year!
Love,
Janet R Cave
